About Josh

Since arriving on Aliyah from Indianapolis, Indiana in 2002, Josh Hasten has been at the forefront of Israel’s public diplomacy efforts. With a focus sharing the beauty of the Land and its people, Josh has stressed getting the truth out about life in Judea and Samaria, along with the rest of the country.

Josh Hasten on Frenemies Josh is currently the International Spokesperson for Gush Etzion. He is also host of the weekly radio program “Israel Uncensored,”  on ‘The Land of Israel Radio Network.’ Josh is also a well-known award winning freelance journalist, writing regularly for JNS News and other publications. He is also a sought-after guest for television interviews on current events in Israel, having appeared on CNN, BBC, Sky News, APTV, I24, with regular appearances on ILTV’s weekly debate program “Frenemies.”  

For the past decade, Josh has been active in media training, public relations, and speaking tours to impress upon pro-Israel advocates around the world the power of the pen and inspiring and showing them how all it takes is passion for a cause to overcome challenges and make a difference.

Some of Josh’s PR clients over the years have included: Regavim, Hatzalah Yosh, the Zionist Organization of America, The Yeshivat Hesder of Sderot, The Binyamin Regional Council, the JCC of Rockland County, Lacrosse Israel, Aish HaTorah, and many others.

In 2009, CAMERA, The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, honored Josh at their annual dinner in New York with their prestigious “letter writer of the year” award in the presence of 400 of Israel’s top advocates and supporters around the world, including Senator Joe Lieberman, and Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren. His children’s book, “Itamar Makes Friends: A Story of Jewish Brotherhood,” has been reviewed and acclaimed by many publications including The Jewish Press, The Five Towns Jewish Times, Jewish Press International, etc. A Hebrew language version of the book has been published as well.

Josh is a big Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers fan. He also likes to play football (American) and basketball in his spare time. He lives with his family in Gush Etzion.
