Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is in Israel this week on a five-day trade mission with a delegation from Arizona focused on business development, water technology and border security. The delegation includes Danny Seiden, the head of Arizona’s Chamber of Commerce, and Sandra Wilson, the president & CEO of Arizona Commerce Authority.

One Israeli Couple’s Goal: To Spread the Word About Aphasia

On Aug. 6, 2017, Efrat residents Eitan and Leora Ashman and their four children were making their final preparations for a family vacation the next day. That night, Leora heard some rumblings from the kitchen downstairs. “I heard some chairs banging around, and I thought it was the dog,” she told JNS. Leora rushed to the kitchen, where she found Eitan on the floor, unconscious. Medical personnel were immediately called, and Eitan was rushed to the hospital.

IAȘI, ROMANIA—Daria Garn was exhausted. After five grueling days traveling from war-torn Kyiv, Ukraine, through Moldova with her two young sons, she had finally arrived at the Romania International Airport in Iași, where she was waiting to board a flight to Israel. As tears welled, Garn, 29, told JNS she was forced to leave her husband behind as he had been unable to secure the proper paperwork to join her. Following Russia’s deadly invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, most Ukrainian adult males have been forbidden to leave the country.
