No Impact on Israel’s International Relations After Rafah Incident: Middle East Correspondent
President Joe Biden is not changing his policy toward Israel after a recent strike led to more civilian deaths in Gaza. Senior White House officials say Israel hasn’t launched a major ground operation in Rafah yet, or crossed any red line that would change U.S. support.
Hamas Wants Civilians Killed for PR: Middle East Correspondent
On May 26, an Israeli airstrike in Rafah led to the deaths of 45 Palestinians, many of whom are women and children according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry. NTD spoke with Josh Hasten, Middle East correspondent at Jewish News Syndicate, about media fallout from the incident that comes just days after the United Nations International Court of Justice ordered Israel to end its assault in Rafah.
Even though the UN’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an ambiguous ruling in regard to Israel’s military campaign in Rafah, the vote was applauded by Hamas, which says it all. Nevertheless, Israel’s government insists that no force in the world will prevent the IDF from defeating Hamas’ final four battalions in Rafah, and finishing off that terrorist organization. The IDF this week revealed that troops discovered at least 50 tunnels leading from Egypt into Rafah. On today’s Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten says that obviously the Egyptians knew that Hamas was importing weapons, literally under their noses, but failed to act. At the same time Egypt has reinforced their above ground border, not letting Gazans flee into their country. Nevertheless, the anti-Israel haters ignore Egypt (and Hamas) and blame the Jewish State for everything going on in Gaza.

The United States on Tuesday vetoed an Algerian-sponsored U.N. Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. On today’s Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten says that the Biden administration is playing both sides of the fence. The veto is appreciated, but at the same time the U.S. continues to call for the establishment of a P.A. state which would be a win for Hamas, while also voicing concern over a necessary military operation in Rafah. Israel insists that it will continue full steam ahead until Hamas is defeated and the hostages are brought home.
