Policymakers aim to enhance US-Israel relations during Trump term

(Dec. 9, 2024 / JNS) Anglo-Israeli public diplomacy professionals, activists and Israel-U.S. relations experts gathered at the Psagot Winery in Binyamin on Thursday for a half-day conference organized by the Yesha Council, representing the communities of Judea and Samaria, to discuss policy opportunities for the Israel-U.S. relationship in light of the incoming Trump administration.

Yesha council is an umbrella organization in the West Bank supporting the Jewish communities of this region and the Jordan Valley. The 24 elected mayors of this council represent about half a million Jews in this region. Joshua Hasten, the international spokesperson for the Yesha council, shares his view about the claims regarding the increase in settlers’ violence against Palestinians in the West Bank with Radio Farda:

At the end of June, the new Israeli government led by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett approved 31 new building projects throughout Judea and Samaria. The projects were green-lighted by the subcommittee on Jewish “settlements” within the Civil Administration.
